Vickie Lynn Hoffard, age 69, of Marion, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 5:25 p.m. in Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.
She was born on March 13, 1955, in Marion, IL, the daughter of Archie and Dorothy Garris. She married Howard Thomas Hoffard, November 13, 1974, in Goreville, IL and was married 30 years before his death in 2004.
Vickie was a selfless wife, hard-working mother, loving sister, and a dear friend. She spent many years working as a housekeeper at the Regal 8 Hotel, as well as a dining assistant at the Illinois Centre Mall in Marion.
She professed faith in Christ as her personal Savior in 2013 and was then baptized at the First Baptist Church in Energy, IL on February 10th of that same year. She loved to show people her love wherever she went. She didn't know a stranger. She loved to spread joy and laughter by going to nursing homes during the holiday season giving out blankets and stuffed animals with candy canes to the residents. She'd even dress
