Iola Mae Tincher, age 87, of Marion, IL, passed away peacefully at 5:32 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Herrin Hospital of Herrin, IL.
She was born at home in Caldwell County, KY, near Princeton, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Poole) VanHooser.
Iola was united in marriage to Sewell Eugene Tincher on October 4, 1952, in Princeton, KY, and together they have shared over 71 years of marriage.
Iola never worked outside of her home and enjoyed remaining at home raising her family, seeing to the needs of her husband and managing her home.
She was one of the founding members of Messiah Christian Church of Marion, IL. Her church was a very important part of her life and was actively involved.
In her spare time, she enjoyed being an avid reader, especially her Bible. She also enjoyed being actively involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The many memories created will be cherished by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Tincher of Marion, IL,
