Rebecca Lynne Grimes "Becky", age 72, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.Becky was born January 15, 1952 in Saline County, Illinois, a daughter of Curtis and Lucille (Bonds) McGuire. Becky grew up in Pittsburg and attended Pittsburg and Marion Schools. She studied at John A. Logan College and worked in the hospitality industry as a server in many area restaurants, bars and hotels. Becky, who was always up to date on what was happening in the community, kept everyone informed of the latest news, as she had a direct line to the pulse of the world (or at least Williamson County). Her knack for staying on top of things wasn't just a skill; it was a testament to her curiosity and sharp intellect. She approached life with a boldness that commanded respect and admiration.
