Debbie Woodhall, age 71, of the Marion, IL area, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 6:59 a.m. at her home.
She was born on March 28, 1953, in Fairbanks, AK, a daughter to Maurice Anthony "Doc" and Betty (Barham) Shively. She was united in marriage to Robert Woodhall in Palos Heights, IL, and together they raised five children.
Debbie attended Carterville Schools and went on to further her education at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale.
She had a heart for service. Debbie devoted her life to caring for others. She spent many years fostering fragile children and was known for looking after children who needed love and support. Debbie was a faithful Christian. She loved God and children and was always putting the needs of others before her own. So much so, that she went on mission trips to Haiti and Mexico City. In Haiti, Debbie worked with dentists there to provide dental care, first, for adults. While there, she totally revolutionized the mission program to begin working w
