HURST - Lonnie Ray Jarvis, 86, of Hurst, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.He was a truck driver for over 50 years, working for Bonifield Trucking, Yellow Freight, and Mail Contractors of America.He is survived by his son, Charles Jarvis; daughter, Kathy Renshaw; grandchildren, Aaron Renshaw, Andrew Renshaw, and Mary Elizabeth Jarvis; five great grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Taitt; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Tracy Jarvis; three sisters; two brothers, and an infant brother.Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Blairsville Cemetery, with Ryan Tackett officiating.Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville is in charge of arrangements.
