Jerry Elmo Mann, age 93, of Johnston City, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois.Jerry was born July 23, 1931 in Bells, Tennessee, a son of James and Jewell (Bedwell) Mann. He married the love of his life, Gloria (Dunaway) Mann on July 09, 1960 in Nashville, Tennessee. Beyond his technical skills, Jerry was a gifted teacher who shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with his students. He guided countless young minds in the art and science of drafting, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those he taught. Jerry will be remembered for his kindness and dedication to his craft and his students. His legacy will live on through the countless designs he brought to life and the generations of drafters he inspired.
