Emily "Jean" Hoercher, 81, of Marion went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:46 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2024 at her home.
Jean was born August 8, 1943 in Marion to William McKinley and Cynthia LaVada (White) Hartwell. She married Kenneth Milton Hoercher on March 14, 1964 at the Lake Creek Baptist Church. Kenneth preceded her in death on July 24, 2011.
Jean was retired, having been a legal secretary for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Lake Creek Baptist Church in which her family founded. She was a 1961 graduate of Johnston City High School.
Jean enjoyed gardening and baking with her granddaughters. She enjoyed going to church and was a devout Christian.
Survivors include her children, LeAnn (Michael Slover) Hudson of Creal Springs, Darren (Lorraine) Hoercher of Virginia Beach, VA and Jeff (Tonya) Hoercher of Litchfield; six grandchildren, Robert Hudson, Kyle Hudson, James Hudson, Alyssa Rowe, Emily Hoercher and Tabitha Hoercher.
