Ronald Ray Beltz, 90, of Energy, passed away on February 28, 2025 at S.I.H. Herrin Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Ron worked as an underground Coal Miner for 35 years for Freeman #4. When he retired, he was working as a Face Boss for the company.
Ron was born on June 11, 1934 in Energy, IL to Garves P. & Bonnie I. (Collier) Beltz.
Ron married Donna Lee Brown on May 23, 1953 at the Energy First Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2019.
Ron is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ronda & Mike DeMattei of Marion, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin & Jan Beltz of Loveland, OH; grandchildren, Dr. Ryan Beltz and his wife Danielle of Liberty Township, OH, Emily DeMattei of Carterville, IL and Brody DeMattei and his wife Dr. Rachael DeMattei of Collinsville, IL; great grandchildren, Rowan Beltz, Reese Beltz, and Henry DeMattei; and a nephew and two nieces.
