Wanda Lou Gentry, 89, of Carterville, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at S.I.H. Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Wanda retired as the Vice President of Finance for American Magnetics.
Wanda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Herrin.
Wanda was born February 14, 1936 in Herrin, Illinois to Ralph C. & Gladys Lucille (Smith) Barham.
Wanda married Kenneth G. "Kenny" Gentry on July 2, 1955 at the Herrin First Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2018.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kendra Gentry-Gill of Streator, IL and Alison & Trenton Funk of Elkville, IL; five grandchildren, Tyler & Kylee Funk, Clayton & Karlie Funk, Sydney Gill, Brody Gill, and Reese Funk; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Barham of Herrin, Bonnie Gentry of Herrin, Nadine Gentry of Energy; brothers-in-law, Steve & Brenda Gentry of Herrin and Jerry Hirtz of St. Peters, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
