Darla Fay Dulitus, 59, of Zeigler, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
She was born on February 19, 1966, in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Richard Sr. and Carolyn (Carpenter) Dulitus.
Darla loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. She was an avid sports fan – her favorite teams were the Chicago Bears and Cubs. Her nephews and nieces were the highlight of her life. Darla didn't like taking pictures, but made an impact on all who knew her.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister and nephew, Amanda and Joshua Stoops; and grandparents, William and Zelma Sandefur and Clifford and Lena Carpenter.
Darla is survived by her aunt, Jacqueline Dulitus; brother, Richard Jr. (Cindy) Dulitus; brother-in-law, Christopher Stoops; nieces and nephews, Christopher Stoops, Jr., Gabriel Stoops, Shyloh Stoops, Kayli (Charles) Thorpe, and Christopher (Emily) Harris; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
